Providing Financial and Community Support for Payson Parks and Recreation
In January 2009, the Friends of Parks and Recreation (FPPR) initiated a drive to raise funds to help pay part-time salaries for the folks necessary to run the Town's recreation programs. The FPPR is extremely pleased to report that FPPR was able to raise $17,199 and paid out $15,630 to cover all of the Summer Recreation Programs through August!

The Friends of Payson Parks and Recreation will continue our efforts to raise funds to help assure that every young person who wants to be involved in the Town's Recreation Programs can afford to do so because "we believe that young people need to be active!"
We also believe that if young people have good activities from which to choose, the majority will choose the good.
Young minds and bodies need good challenges and Recreation Programs provide them.
